Frozen is a movie which teaches the importance of being yourself. Two girls, Anna and Elsa, were inseparable as children but as they grew up, they grew apart. Elsa, the older sister who has the power to freeze anything she touches, ended up hurting her sister when they were young. In order to prevent this from happening again, Elsa isolates herself in her room and avoids her sister for many years, even after their parents die. Once Elsa takes the throne at 18 years old, she learns that instead of staying clear of her little sister and avoiding her at all costs, staying loyal to her and supporting her throughout her life is the better way to deal with the situation. Instead of keeping her true self hidden from her own sister, an important lesson Elsa learns is to be herself despite it being difficult at times. This is a message that does not just apply to this movie. The message of being yourself and staying loyal to the people who care about you applies to everybody on a daily basis. Instead of being someone who you are not, it is important to be yourself because everyone has different perspectives on life and without sharing these perspectives, the world misses out. The message of staying loyal to others who care about you applies to life in general because in a time of need, these people will make sacrifices for you as long as you do the same. Frozen targets young children who enjoy animated Disney movies. Children who love stories about princesses and adventure are the main targeted audience for this movie. This story is very complete. Like most Disney movies, there was a happy ending and the characters within the movie ended up learning very important life lessons.
